Question: I have to replace my ECU on my '21 FLHXS. My questions are, will I need to purchase an unlock license or not, seeing that the new ECU will be programmed with my bikes VIN? Or is the pv-3b married to the VIN and serial number of the old ECU, thus needing an unlock license?

Question: Will this be able to adjust Decel pop on a 2022 HD Sportster S (RH1250S)?
Answer: None of our products will automatically make any changes or corrections to address things like decel popping. This being said, all of our tuners have the ability to be used for custom tuning of the motorcycle... Meaning that the tunes can be opened into the appropriate software, to allow someone to make changes to the tune that can help.
Decel popping is caused by the detonation of unburned fuel in the exhaust pipe. This happens with high flow exhausts that allow more fresh air to be pulled into the pipe, causing the exhaust temperature to rise and detonate the fuel. The absolute MOST common cause of decel popping is an exhaust leak. If there is a leak and it is not corrected, you may never be able to reduce or eliminate the popping.
To check for an exhaust leak, we would suggest that you get the bike up to normal operating temperature and then just let it idle. Take a lit cigar, cigarette, incense stick or anything else that smokes and run it along the entire exhaust, slowly. Allow the smoke to flow over the pipe, focusing on places where the headers are bolted to the cylinders, the oxygen sensor bungs, and any joints where the headers meet the mufflers, etc. If you see smoke get pulled INTO the exhaust, that would indicate a leak. Fix the leak and the popping may be gone entirely. If there is an exhaust leak, the popping may never be able to be solved with just tuning.

Question: Bought an Ultra Limited in California but I live in Florida and it will be registered here. 1-I am pretty sure any tuner will void the engine's warranty, correct? Anything else it will void? 2-Can I buy your tuner and tune it here? I have a Arlen Ness round intake 5 & 3/4" at the end and about 7" at the base. Rinehart 4" slip ons, measured at the outer diameter of the pipe. The dealer in Ca. told me they couldn't tune it because of regulations , but that the stock tuner would compensate. Any guidance here will be appreciated!

The Power Vision is an ECU reflash technology that gives you full control over engine management. You can always flash the stock ECU calibration back to the ECU prior to taking the vehicle in for any warranty service to avoid any warranty contention issues. Question: What is the difference between a Strategy 27 & Strategy 28 tune? for mu street bob 114 2021 fxbbs

Currently, it appears that the 2021 Harley-Davidson Touring and Softail models are being released with 2 different ECU Strategies; either 27 or 28.� This is due to them having two different versions of ECU. Most likely due to the chip shortage that occurred. The tunes we offer will be for one strategy or the other, and is designated at the end of the tune filename.� These motorcycles MUST be flashed with a tune of the same strategy that the bike has originally.� If you attempt to flash a tune and the PV gives an error about it being the incorrect strategy, simply flash the other version of the tune.

Due to CARB, California Air Resource Board, any products that alter the fuel or ignition of a vehicle is illegal to sell into the state. There is no waiver you can fill out to get around this either. Manufacturers can have many revisions in their ECUs and each time they do this, these values can change. We see lots of different variations. We appreciate your interest and support of our products. No matter which of our specific products you may be using, if the vehicle in question came from the factory with oxygen sensors installed, our products are designed to be used WITH those oxygen sensors. The AFR that is commanded and maintained by the ECM using the oxygen sensor feedback is normally perfectly safe for all modifications performed to the vehicle. With the advances and newer technology being used in these engines, they are generally more efficient than ever, and, don't need any addition fuel in the closed loop area.?
For the modern bikes with closed loop systems we have found in recent testing and analysis that most modern engines now have actually been designed to run at the leaner factory settings. In the closed loop area of the fuel curve we find they generally run better if the factory closed loop system is retained and not changed. That area is generally very low engine load conditions at the low rpm and throttle, so it does not require substantial fuel changes to run optimally like the high rpm, high throttle settings do. Due to this and ever tighter emissions regulations at the state and federal levels we now recommend the factory closed loop O2 sensor components be left connected, and if using our Auto Tune it would only make adjustments outside that area where they are truly needed for the high engine load conditions at higher rpm and throttle settings. Leaving the factory sensors in place and installing the Auto tune for fuel adjustments outside the closed loop area actually gives you the best overall compromise between fuel economy and power and performance when actually needed. You get maximum economy in the low rpm throttle range, and max power and performance in the high rpm, throttle range.

Question: I have a 2021 Road Glide with a TBR 2 into 1 Shorty Turnout Pipe and K&N high flow filter. I was thinking of purchasing the PV-3B unit from Fuel Moto but would rather go straight to DynoJet if possible. I would like the RPM and High Speed limiters removed or raised if possible and adjust the tune for my bike. I am in Cali but would have no problem taking a nice little road trip to your facility to install one of these units. What would it take to have you tune my bike on your dyno to get optimum performance out of it? Would you just suggest the auto-tune feature? I know that Vegas is higher altitude which can effect AFR. Will this unit compensate for the altitude difference in California?

Once it is married to your bike, it will only show tunes that are compatible with that vehicle. the pre-developed tunes on Dynojets? website and on the Power Vision unit were created on a Dynamometer at our facility in Las Vegas Nevada. These tunes were created with the vehicle model listed, with the modifications listed. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to have a pre-developed map with every possible aftermarket component and configuration.
Or facility in Las Vegas is our Shipping warehouse and R&D shop, so unfortunately we are not set up as a retail store to make purchases at. The pre-developed tunes on Dynojets? website and on the Power Vision unit were created on a Dynamometer at our facility in Las Vegas Nevada. All of the tunes we have created are listed on the website. These tunes were created with the vehicle model listed, with the modifications listed. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to have a pre-developed map with every possible aftermarket component and configuration.
If there is not a tune listed for your exact configuration, select a tune with similar aftermarket components. If you have an aftermarket slip-on type exhaust, then select a tune with a similar slip-on exhaust. If you have an aftermarket full exhaust, select a tune for a similar full exhaust. If you have an aftermarket air cleaner, select a tune with an aftermarket air cleaner. The tune created for one vehicle should work pretty well for a similar vehicle, with similar aftermarket components installed.

Question: I read that with the Firmware-Updates for 2021 models it is not possible to tune an older bike. You are correct that we are in development of tunes for the 2021 HD models. You can use the Auto tune feature to help get it dialed in, but you need to make a couple adjustments to the base file to compensate for the engine size. It will do a good job of cleaning up the low and mid range. We would NOT recommend using to tune WOT unless you were monitoring it on the dyno. Question: I have a 2017 FLHTKSE CVO Ultra and a 2021 FLHTCUTG Tri-Glide Ultra. I need a tuner for both bikes. Can I use 1 PV2B or PV3B with both bikes? Is it preferable to get the PV3B over the PV2B to use with both bikes? TIA!

So one PV unit can be purchased to tune both HD bikes. If you purchase the PV-2B for the 2017 CVO Ultra then you will need to purchase the Diag cable 76951048 for the 2021 Tri-Glide and a tune license from the website to tune the second bike. Now the PV unit will also need the new firmware update to be compatible with the 2021, but anytime you are switching to tune the other bike you will have to load the other firmware onto the device. If you are not wanting to switch back and forth between firmware, and have a PV unit on each bike then you will want to purchase a PV-2B and a PV-3B. The PV is a tuning device and if you don't want to wait, you can see if there is a tuning facility near you. The shop they can run it on a Dyno and make a custom tune for you. The PV-3B will work on your 2021 FLSB. We have not heard of a difference in the ECU, but have been Beta testing in the field for the last few months If this is an issue it most likely has been addressed by R&D as they did not inform us that it isn't supported. All 2021 Touring and Softail models are supported with this PV unit.

If you already have a PV unit then you will need the Diag cable 76951048 which will be available on 10/1. There will also be firmware for the 2021 models that will be released then as well. If you are looking to tune the 21 Road Glide along with your original bike then you will need to purchase a tune license from the website. We are developing this PV-3B to be able to work with the Pan America models. I do not have an ETA on when that info will be released but this PV will be available 10/1, so it shouldn't be much longer after that we release the support for these bikes. Question: Does this unit make it possible to remove 02 sensors from the system? Or will new exhausts have to be made to compensate for the new 02 sensor on the rear muffler?
Answer: Hello Jake,
No matter which of our specific products you may be using, if the vehicle in question came from the factory with oxygen sensors installed, our products are designed to be used WITH those oxygen sensors. The AFR that is commanded and maintained by the ECM using the oxygen sensor feedback is normally perfectly safe for all modifications performed to the vehicle. With the advances and newer technology being used in these engines, they are generally more efficient than ever, and, don't need any addition fuel in the closed loop area.
