Does this coil need to be bolted with standoffs and to the frame? I am looking to replace my OEM coil on my 1976 KZ400 as well as moving the location of it, but the place that I found that will be perfect is not a section of frame or connected to the frame.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for your interest in Dynatek ignitions. No, the coils do not rely on any ground contact with the frame so you can mount them anywhere that is convenient for you.
