Hi Alex,
Thank you for your interest in Dynatek ignitions. The DC1-1 3 ohm coils may be used on the CB750 models with the DS1-2 Dyna S ignition but on the CB550 and smaller engines we recommend our DC8-1, 5 ohm coils due to the relatively weaker charging systems on these models. The 5 ohm coils will draw less current therefore creating less load on the charging system. If we can be of any future assistance please feel free to contact us anytime.
