Recently purchased a DS6-1 module for a '99 883 sportster, from a local dealer along with mechanical advance device. I can't get my bike to fire with the new module. Everything on bike is stock. Do I definitely need a 5 ohm coil pack for this DS6-1 module to work??

Recently purchased a DS6-1 module for a '99 883 sportster, from a local dealer along with mechanical advance device. I can't get my bike to fire with the new module. Everything on bike is stock. Do I definitely need a 5 ohm coil pack for this DS6-1 module to work??

Thank you for your interest in Dynatek ignitions. While the Dyna S will work with either 3 ohm or 5 ohm coils we recommend 5 ohm coils for street operation for better reliability.
