Thank you for your interest in the PV-3B. Yes this PV unit does have the capabilities to tune a 2017 FLHXS. You will need to purchase the Diag cable 76950346, a tune license from the website, and you will have to change the firmware on the unit. The older style HD bikes use a different firmware on the device compared to the 2021+ bikes. For more information on this you can reach us at (800)992-4993 or pvtech@dynojet.com.
