Hello,
Thank you for your interest in the PV3 for your Super Tenere. So every vehicle from every manufactures comes down tuned so the vehicles can make EPA regulations. What the the stock improved map does is alter the ignition and fuel maps so you have better performance, improved throttle response, and cooler engine temperatures. Since the PV3 is a flash tuning device you can also alter the DBW setting, raise the REV and speed limiters for addition power gains. We develop these tunes with a completely stock vehicle to get the most reliable performance out of it. Now when we are able to get vehicles in with exhaust, intake or engine modifications we can then test them on our Dyno and create a tune based on those modifications and offer it for free to download from the website. The PV3 is a tuning device so you have the ability to take to a Dyno facility and get a custom tune made, work with the Technical Support team to make adjustments to one of our predeveloped tunes, or use a Wide Band accessory to monitor AFR on the fly.
