Hiya. Decades ago I bought a new Kawasaki ZX-10 (1990 model), bought a full V&H exhaust, had it jet-hot coated, dropped in a K&N filter, and installed one of your jet kits.
90,000 miles later, I still have the bike. It sat for a couple years, and last week I cleaned the carbs and got it back on the road. Did not touch the needles or clips or jets...just pulled them and put everything in the ultrasonic cleaner. Now, back on the road and running my first tank thru it, I've noticed something: at about 7-8000 RPMs in every gear, it loses steam (redline is 11,000.) It gets "bogged down" and essentially makes a lot of noise, but fwd movement is...lessened. I can pull in the clutch lever and "cheat" my way out of it, but it sounds.."wet."
Like I said, I didn't touch any of the carb parts as far as changing things: just cleaned and reinstalled.
Looked thru my paperwork to find my original "how to install" instructions from you guys, but no longer have them. Not on your site either that I could find.
I'm pretty sure this setup has not changed since...1990, so either it was "wet" sounding then and has been for decades and I didn't notice (which seems impossible!), or...maybe just sitting for 20 months changed things? Not sure. Was hoping you had thoughts and maybe how to fix/change things?
