Hi,I have two questions. have an XT500 which is known for a weak alternator, around 60W max for everything except head light and ignition. There is a dedicated coil for the ignition. So when I use a booster as the DBR-1 I should consider when connecting it to the battery that it might drain the battery.How much current does the DBR-1 use? How many Amperes? Steady current? What exact additional current/voltage has the ignition coil to take? Will it last as long as it would without booster? Thanks in advance. View answer

Since there is not a kit specifically for the Honda CB1000C,would it be better to use the CB900C kit with 126 or 130 main jets or the CB1100F stage 1 kit 120 or 124 because of the needle differences? Or do I just have to trial and error? I ask because the instructions for the CB750C/CB900C seem to be written with only the CB750 in mind as far as the jets, as it mentions a different drill for slide holes,but the jets it suggest are 96 & 100 when the stock jet on the 900 is a 105, so the stock jet on the CB1000C being a 110 has me really wondering which kit to use. I ordered and installed this ignition on my 76 gl1000, followed all the instructions but I am having issues timing it. I hooked up the test light and timed it as the instructions say. Test light fires at F2 when connected to the blue wire and fires at F1 when connected to the yellow, but it also fires and will stay on at other points in the engines rotation. Tried to fire the bike up and it will start but will not go above 1,000 rpm and dies when I let off the throttle. Is it possible I have a faulty module? View answer
